Secret Design Studio is very excited to announce our monthly mid-century modern inspired colouring-in competition thanks to the artist Christian Musselman.  Hopefully, it will keep the young and old in your household exploring their artistic talents during these challenging times.

There are three consecutive competitions running over September, October and November. The closing time for each competition is at midnight on the last day of each month.  Each month has three prizes, so there are a total of nine prizes.

Each person in your household can complete one entry a month, and submit it by email (no snail mail).  If you are one of the nine winners then you can receive your prize and use it without ever having to leave your home.  There are two divisions:

Division 1 (Adult) for entrants 18 years and older

Division 2 (Child) for entrants under the age of 18 (parent/guardian consent required)

There are two formats:

Digital – using any digital editing software, such as photoshop, etc

Manual – by hand using any media you want such as coloured pencils, texta pens, water colours etc.

Judging will be based on originality and creative flair and NOT on reproducing the artist’s original colours.

2nd Prize each month

A new, unopened, 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle by award-winning illustrator Christian Musselman from Modern Puzzles. It measures 70cm x 50cm when completed. The pieces are 2mm thick and are precision cut to make them gap free and have a secure lock. Inside the box is a poster guide to use during your puzzling adventure. Value approximately $60 Australian. These puzzles are not available from Australian retailers. They have been imported from the USA for this competition, so are pretty rare in Australia.

3rd Prize each month

RULES

Here is the fine print (which is also repeated on the entry form):

1. Entries are limited to one entry, per person, per month to residents of Australia.
2. Your entry must be received by email by midnight on the last day of the month. Judging will be completed and winners notified by the 15th of the following month.
3. Entrants acknowledge that their entry may be published on the internet, such as on social media pages, with their initials and state.

DIGITAL FORMAT ENTRY

(using any digital editing software)

1. Download an entry form from Secret Design Studio’s website from our resources page https://secretdesign.wpengine.com/resources/info-downloads/
2. Open the pdf entry form in your preferred image editing software.
3. Enter your name, age, postcode of residence, email address and best contact number in the space on the entry form.
4. Complete your masterpiece in MS Paint, Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate or an equivalent software package of your choice.
5. If you are younger than 18 years old then get your parents or guardian to sign the entry form as consent for entry into the competition.
6. Email your entry form and completed masterpiece in a PDF format to secretdesignstudio@gmail.com before midnight on the last day of the month. Other formats will not be accepted.
7. Due to Covid and lockdowns this competition is only for digitally submitted entries, and postal entries will not be accepted.

MANUAL FORMAT ENTRY

(Using any non-digital media, such as coloured pencil, textas pens etc)

1. Download an entry form from Secret Design Studio’s website https://secretdesign.wpengine.com/resources/info-downloads/
2. Print out the entry form. A3 size will be easiest to work with.
3. Write your name, age, postcode of residence, email address and best contact number in the space on the entry form.
4. Complete your masterpiece by hand (Coloured pencils, crayons, texta pens, water colour, of your choice).
5. If you are younger than 18 years old then get your parents or guardian to sign the entry form as consent for entry into the competition.
6. Scan or photograph your masterpiece AND the completed entry form and email to secretdesignstudio@gmail.com before midnight on the last day of the month.
7. Due to Covid and lockdowns this competition is only for digitally submitted entries, and postal entries will not be accepted.
