#backtoreality Dr Retro had a virtual visit with the potential buyers of this property in #terreyhills NSW to talk about design and renovation options and costs before they put in an offer. The home was being marketed by the real estate agent as a #pettitandsevitt, which was important to these buyers.

However I didn't recognise it as one of their standard models so I suggested to these clients that they seek documentary evidence that it is actually what is being advertised, perhaps from the vendor, and not just built in the style of Pettit and Sevitt.

By the way I have a cheap Van Gogh painting for sale for only $2m, but no evidence of authenticity, but I have been told by my great aunt's next door neighbour it is the real deal....#realestate #authenticity #sydneyschool #midcentury #australianarchitecture

#backtoreality. I had the pleasure of meeting the custodians of this charming mid-50s weatherboard home in #ainslie over the magic of #Zoom last week. Their home was largely original and showed a high level of craftsmanship and love. I suspect it may have been built by one of the German Jennings teams after their 2 year tenure with Jennings was complete. A fascinating part of Canberra's post-war history.
