We then engaged Alistair to design an extension to our cream brick 1960 home. Our brief was 5 pages long! Alistair presented three concepts. One concept was modest (lower cost) and met all of our requests in the brief, plus some really good ideas from Alistair.
I’m an engineer and work with lots of architects. I find most to be very impractical and rigid regarding their designs. Alistair is just so practical. All of his concepts were really well thought out.

Secret Design Studio is a small, boutique building and interior design studio that specialises in retro homes of the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s.
Over the years Secret Design Studio has had a few clients on Victoria’s Phillip Island. The island has many modestly scaled, unrenovated, partially renovated and poorly renovated mid-century beach shacks. Our next visit to Phillip Island will be between 22nd January and 30th January , with the Australia Day long weekend in the middle.![]()
