For anybody following Secret Design Studio on Instagram I hope you enjoyed some of the mid-century homes that I visited on my September 2019 Hobart Dr Retro appointment tour.  This is one of the houses I visited in the Hobart suburb of Rosny which was designed by Tasmanian architect Ray Heffernan.

If you are thinking about renovating, extending or making changes to your mid-century or post-war home in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney or Canberra and would like some pre-renovation advice before you start then you must book in a house call with Dr Retro. The last call is out is for anybody in Adelaide, Sydney and Canberra who wants to book in a Dr Retro House Call for the final visits for 2019.

Each appointment is individually tailored for each house and client and can cover anything from making your house more thermally comfortable, mid-century materials and colour selections, explaining the DA and BA process, selecting the right builder, standard building contracts, general planning and flow, to choosing the right furniture and light fittings.

Most of the Adelaide appointments are booked, however, there has been a cancellation on the afternoon of Sunday 13th of October (in one weeks time).  So far my booked appointments include Belair, Colonel Light Gardens, Clapham,  Uraidla, Clapham (again), Aldgate Hills, Magill, Belair (again) and a day trip to Booborowie for colour selections!

If there is enough interest I may extend the trip by another day to make Tuesday 15th of October available for appointments.  If you have missed out on a visit in 2019 then the next Adelaide visit will be in 12 months time.

Warrnambool has a rich history of many mid-century modern houses.

On the return trip from Adelaide I am planning a stop over in Portland and Warrnambool so I have the opportunity to have a look at some of the mid-century modern homes.  This means that if you live in Portland or Warrnambool  and would like a Dr Retro House Call around mid-October please contact me as soon as possible so we can work out a day and time that suits your household.

Mid-November is Sydney where I will be visiting the brand new owners of this house who are seeking pre-renovation design and building advice.

Mid-November is Sydney which has only four appointments remaining on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th.  There are no weekend appointments for this visit to Sydney.  If you missed out in Sydney in 2019 then the next trip will be in the first quarter of 2020.

Canberra has two appointments left on Sunday 24th. If you missed out on Canberra in 2019 please let me know. At this stage, I will only be planning a Canberra trip in 2020 if there is enough interest.

For Melbourne clients, I am not making any more appointments until November 2019 due to my other commitments.
